Happy Women Do Yoga (together)

Why women’s groups and women’s yoga retreats are so transformative.
Women crave community. We gather together at any excuse, from workshops to book clubs to support groups and social clubs, in an attempt to create community, banish isolation and empower ourselves.
Women’s circles are any kind of group run by and for women, that focus on creating a safe and nurturing space where participants can share their feelings and experiences, take creative risks, and manifest their deepest desires. During a typical women’s circle, women will meet up to discuss and communicate with one another about various issues: praise, affirmation, grieving, creation, family matters and much more. Generally, women’s circles aim to heal, promote creativity and empower, but each one has its own agenda, and there are no limits to the type of circle you can find.
They offer an amazingly powerful community where women are encouraged to tap into a well of inner happiness and feel energized, radiant, and grateful. In this secure environment, women can re-learn to trust and appreciate their body and to exude authentic self-confidence and personal power, which will help them to attract fulfilling relationships. They will also be guided by their creativity to manifest their fullest, greatest potential and to cultivate a life of richness and abundance, in every way.

Yoga is another powerful tool that is being embraced within women’s circle. Because it is so potent in helping to create a positive attitude towards yourself, other people and the world in general, it can help you connect with your inner radiance, and live beyond body size, relationships, and careers. Physically, it is also ideal for women as it helps with a number of issues, such as PMS, menopause and pregnancy, and helps us to create balance in our overstressed, hectic lives.
Balance is an issue that women in particular seem to struggle with – we’re hungry to claim our power and our femininity in this world; and we long to tap into our inner reservoir of ease and deep peace. However, we feel like there’s a contradiction between being feminine and successful; and we’re yearning to let our true radiance shine.
So, how do you find the true inner happiness and self-love that is yours and yours alone?
The answer is simple: You can soar to new heights–in your career, your creativity, and your spirituality – by surrounding yourself with a community of loving, wise women who believe in and inspire you!
Women’s groups are invaluable empowering tools that can help you step into your feminine power, radiance and happiness. This is because they provide a supportive community of like-minded women who can mirror back to you your gifts and your true beauty and shower you with appreciation, love, and praise.

Interpreting for Yoga Workshops and Teacher Training Courses
One evening in the latter half of April, thanks to one of my yoga instructors, I set out for Tokyo Midtown with the inventor of Yogic Arts, Duncan Wong. He teaches a moon viewing yoga class through park yoga, so I went along as his interpreter. Despite being warm during the day though mainly cloudy, when the sun went down the wind gained strength, and it became cold. When we arrived at the meeting place in this environment, everyone was already there warming up on mats on the lawn.
